Zoe-perry
Perry is born the 25th of July 1968 in Chicago in Illinois. She was the daughter of Laurie Metcalf Perry and Jeff Perry. Her first TV roles included two episodes as Jackie Harris (as seen in flashback) in The ABC sitcom Roseanne as the character played by her mother. However, her parents were not keen to let her pursue acting until she became an adult fearing the effect of stress. Perry admitted that she wasn't at ease in the stage during high school. However, she began doing it to connect with new people during her time at Northwestern University after switching from Boston University. Perry following her graduation from Boston University, moved to New York in search of acting roles on television. She landed small parts on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. However, homesickness brought her back to California for theater roles. Perry was a part of the cast with her mother on stage in The Other Place at Broadway at the end of 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father and Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie on the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC crime thriller The Family in 2016. Perry was a regular character in the ABC drama about politics Scandal which starred her father. She also played the young Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon - which is a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She got the part by auditioning for an open role despite having a connection to the role.
