Ally Sheedy

Alexandra Elizabeth Sheedy (born June 13 1962) is an American actress. In 1983, following her debut film Bad Boys starring as a Brat Pack member in WarGames '83 and The Breakfast Club '85 she was known for being a part of this group. Sheedy received an Independent Spirit Award in 1998 for the best female character. This was due to her performance in the role of Lisa Cholodenko in High Art. Sheedy is an American actor and a writer. She started her career in acting by appearing in the crime movie Bad Boys at the beginning of the 1980s. The film, which was helmed by Rick Rosenthal also starred other famous actors, including Sean Penn Esai Morales Clancy Brown and Alan Ruck. Her first success led her to appear in The Breakfast Club, a 1985 comedy-drama. The film by John Hughes called The Breakfast Club has been hailed as among high school cinema's best films. Though the budget was only $1 million its earnings crossed $50 million. When she was working on this the first time on TV, her television debut came in the form of CBS Schoolbreak. It was a show for teenagers that started airing in April of 1980. The other shows she appeared in included Chicago Story Big City Samuels and the Kid as well as Hill Street Blues. Her most recent appearances include Little Sister as well as X-Men Apocalypse, a movie featuring a hero in which she appears in a cameo. Sheedy has been recognized for her extraordinary performance, has won numerous awards. Sheedy was awarded the MTV Movie Award's silver Bucket of Excellence Award 2005.
